A REMARKABLE CHAMELEON
Just try to imagine having a tulip that is different every day, and more importantly, more beautiful every day. Is there no such thing? You're wrong! Tulips of the Hotpants variety change their petal colour during flowering. At first, the tulips are inconspicuous and bland, as the petals are most often coloured a deep purple or pink with a broad cream stripe in the centre, and it is this light stripe that makes our tulip a striking chameleon. The stripe is green at the beginning of flowering and only lightens as it matures. The whole fascinating spectacle is carried by long and very strong stems up to 50 cm long, making the flower very suitable as a cut flower. If you are fascinated by the opportunity to observe this unique development process, do not hesitate and every year the tulips will reward you with flowering at the turn of April and May.
